Our popular 7020 U-shaped lever handle has been updated with revised dimensions and has now been tested at the certified institute MPA NRW in Nordrhein-Westfalen. As a result, the handle meets the requirements of EN 179 for emergency exit devices.
A new item number to reflect the update
The change ensures a clear distinction between the updated and previous versions – helping you get the right handle for your application.
The updated measurements can be found in the technical drawing below.
We understand that this change may require some extra work on your part, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.
Technical update at a glance
- The entire 7020 series will now include the suffix -001 in the item number
Examples:
702000AB → 702000AB-001
702024AB lever handle with c-c 30 mm roses in black PVD → 702024AB-001 - This change applies to all variants – in both brushed stainless steel and black PVD finish
- The handle has been tested by MPA NRW and meets the requirements of EN 179 (emergency exit devices)
- Note: The handle is not CE marked
- The dimensions have been adjusted – see the drawing above

- Available in black PVD coated surface and stainless steel (AISI 304).
- Supplied in pairs, for door thickness 40 mm, 40-65 mm or 65-89 mm
- Standard spindle 8×8 mm.
