In 2017 Strandhotellet opened Blokhus with 36 cozy rooms and 2 suites. The exclusive bathing hotel, designed by the North Jutland architect Jørgen Ussing, is built in Blokhus style with white plastered walls and red tiled roof. The 38 rooms have their own wooden balcony and terraces around the house.
